ASSORTED SUBS
LETTUCE AND TOMATO
FRIES
ASSORTED FRUIT AND MILK

FBLA members are reminded that next Thursday is the day to bring in the baked goods for the 5-12 Christmas Concert. Please remind your parents that you committed to this so they can plan accordingly with baking supplies and such. That beats the night before saying, "oh, and by the way, I need to bake some brownies tonight!"  File this tip under how to win friends and influence parents.

All 5-12 graders who sold cookie dough for band and choir are reminded that yesterday was the pick up day.

Any student wishing to re-take a Regents Exam in January needs to sign up with either Mrs. Walsh or Mrs. C-K prior to the close of school, Monday, December 18th.

Congratulations to the Scio Scholastic Challenge/Quiz Bowl team who recently competed in a national online tournament.  They took 4th place nationally and 1st place for New York state.   We are currently forming teams for the regional tournament on February 3rd.  You may sign up as a team of 4 or sign up individually and we will assign you to a team.  Students in grades 6 and up are eligible to join.  See Miss Z for more information or come to our practice Thursday morning at 8:45 in the HS library.

The word of the day is hail.  Hail means precipitation of ice pellets.  The storm of hail and high winds did a lot of damage to trees and gardens.

On this day in 1911, Norwegian Roald Amundsen became the first explorer to reach the South Pole, beating his British rival, Robert Falcon Scott.

Book of the Week:  This week’s book is “Spirit Hunters” by Ellen Oh.  What is the mysterious spirit hunting Harper’s new house?  And, more importantly, can she stop it before it kills her or her brother?    Check it out at the elementary Library.

Please stand and join us in the pledge of allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
Have a great day!
