Are you interested in a SCHOOL JACKET? You can earn either a varsity letter by playing a sport or an academic letter by earning honor roll four consecutive marking periods. Academic letters are awarded at the Awards Night in June. Once you have the money and either a varsity and/or academic letter, you can order your school jacket. To do this, see Mr. Childs. By the way, honor roll is an 84.5 or higher.
The word of the day is monotreme. Monotremes are mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth. A platypus is a monotreme.
On this day in 1953, American medical researcher Dr. Jonas Salk announced on a national radio show that he had successfully tested a vaccine against poliomyelitis, the virus that causes the crippling disease of polio.
